The Beauty Voxbox

So, I have been a member of the website Influenster for a while, and I recently qualified for the beauty blogger voxbox. How? I have no idea because the closest I come to being a beauty blogger are my once in a while nail polish posts. But, here goes nothing!

In my voxbox I recieved:

An eyeshadow set in silver from New York Color

Not Your Mother's curl defining hair creme

Bath and Body Works candle

A set of artificial eyelashes from Kiss

Goody simple styles spin pin

A sample of Eboost (which I plan on trying this week)

And Vitabath fragrance mist

My opinions? The fragrance is a full size sample, but I have so much already I will probably never use it. The spin pin sounds like a great idea, but my hair is fine and straight and it wont stay in my hair, and that goes for the hair creme as well: I have straight hair so have no use for a curly hair creme. I have no reason to wear false eyelashes, but I will probably wear them at least once more. The candle is ok, but I probably wont buy it.

My favorite by far was the eyeshadow from New York Color. I definately want to try more shades!

No luck...

So, I am still here, even though I feel like I can't post anything of worth without my computer.

I am falling behind in things I was working on for my blog, I have half-assed posts floating out there, I have been itching to re-do my header for months, and there are so many ideas for posts in my head I am starting to go crazy. I keep thinking "this would make a great blog po.....oh." Im starting to get sad about it.

I miss my nail polish posts. I haven't painted my nails in over a month and I used to do it weekly. My nails are suffering.

I miss my waist watcher posts. I totally fell off the wagon and my Hubby is starting to get ticked again that we are paying for a gym membership that I don't use.

I miss my updates on Natalie and sharing her with you. I miss my Instagrammies. I miss editing photos and looking at pictures of my girl.

I miss blogging.

And it doesn't look like the computer is EVER going to get fixed. If Hubby had his way, it wouldn't. My birthday and Christmas is coming up......

A girl can hope.

A Moment of Silence....

For my computer. The good news: I got all my files and photos and music off the hard drive. Bad news: doing so voided my warranty.

Verdict: Rachael is out a lot of money for a crappy laptop that bit the dust literally two months after we paid it off. God only knows if it will be worth it to fix it.

Second verdict: I am out a computer until we can afford to fix it/buy a new one. Which means no blogging.

Can we please mourn all the goals I had for this blog this year?

Can we please have a moment of silence for the death of my stupid-head computer?

Ugh. And stuff.

52 in 52: A Recap & A Fresh Start

I've been meaning to write about my first 52 in 52 experiment, but just haven't had the time, and with my computer being down it makes it even harder to get things done.

But, I am going to do it anyway! The final day on my Project was May 15, 2012. I have to say I am not impressed with my turnout, (15 out of 52 complete) however I think the main reason is because a lot of the goals I just couldn't accomplish last year with a newborn taking up most of my time. So, I have taken that into account and have adjusted accordingly.

I'm going to be starting a new list soon. I've had some things happen in life that changed my original list, so as soon as I have it completed and ready to go I will post about it!

I Never Should Have Tried

Ive been trying to run my blog from my phone. But as you have probably seen from the past few posts (and then the deletion of said half-finished posts) it is easier said than done for me. So, I am officially "shutting down" until I get my computer back, which could possibly be another month. All of the sponsors/giveaway winners that I have, your time will be extended. It is the least I can do. There will be one more post which I have completed and scheduled for the 7th. I hope to be back to this soon, because I really miss it and think I have finally found a "blogging formula" that works for me.
