Five Months Old!

Dear Natalie,

Today you are FIVE whole months old! You are growing and learning so fast, it's hard for Momma to keep up!

Yesterday you had your wellness appointment and you got three more vaccines: one oral (which tasted good! It was strawberry banana) and two needles. You did so good! You hardly cried! Momma was so proud of you!

1 mo: 5 lbs 13 oz
2 mo: 8 lbs 3.5 oz
3 mo: 10 lbs
4 mo: 14 lbs!! (I think I was a little off on this with the home scale - more like around 13 lbs)
5 mo: 12 lbs 13 oz

Length -

Birth: 18 1/4 in
2 mo: 20 1/2 in
3 mo: 21 in
4 mo: 22 1/2 in
5 mo: 24 1/2 in

Last month you were drinking 6 oz every feeding and drinking between 4-6 bottles a day. Now we have moved you up to 8 oz bottles because you always seemed hungry after you were done. You are still drinking about the same amount, about 3 bottles a day. You don't like to burp on my shoulder anymore, unless it's really bothering you so we let you burp on your own now!

You are still a stellar sleeper! You are sleeping from 11pm/1am all the way to 11am/12pm! I can't believe how much you sleep, because after your morning bottle you usually go back down for another nap for an hour or two, sometimes three! For instance today, after your photo shoot (hehe) you went down, and you're still out! We're going on three hours now!

We have officially retired all of your newborn stuff now! You are in 3 month sleepers, 0-3 mo and 3 mo onsies, and your outfits are fitting you really well! You are now wearing size 1 diapers all day and all night! We got you special overnight ones, and they seem to really help you stay dry.

Your baby acne came back a little this month, especially underneath your chin. I think you are dribbling alot more when you are eating, so that is most of the problem. Everywhere else is still pretty good!

Your hernia is pretty much healed! I knew it would be gone before Christmas!

Daddy loves to dress you up in Jets gear! (Momma secretly does too - especially that binky!)

You LOVE the Christmas tree - you just sit and STARE.

You learned how to roll from your belly to your back this month! And you are trying SO hard to get from your back to your belly but you can't quite get it yet! You get about halfway and then FLOP!

You are still really good at standing up, and Momma thinks you'll start liking your exersaucer more!

You are really starting to jabber away at me! I love hearing you talk!

Thanksgiving was awesome! You were the life of the party!

Momma can't wait for Christmas! It's only 10 days away!

Momma and Daddy love you more than yesterday and less than tomorrow!
