To wash or not to wash?

Oh my you have no idea how it feels to be able to blog again! I am hoping that now that I can post from my phone that I'll be able to put up a new post every day! (Except maybe Sundays since those are my days with the Hubster)

So I wanted to bring up a decision that the Hubster and I made regarding the baby: cloth diapering - and get your thoughts!

Positives: the kind that we registered for are shaped just like disposables and have snap closures, and all the reviews said that they are great for girls because they load the liners from the back which means you would pull the liner out the same way, thus keeping the front to back wiping method you are supposed to use with girls to avoid infection. They are also big enough that she should be able to wear them all the way up until age two, which is about when I plan to start potty training with Pull-ups or something of the sort. They also have a disposable liner that is flushable that you can buy for when you go out so that you don't have to lug around stinky used diapers all day.

Negatives: The biggest one is price. I know once we get them we won't have to buy any other diapers, but $100 for six diapers is crazy to think about! Not to mention the fact that we are probably going to need at least three dozen! OUCH! I just hope that I can find a way to purchase them if I don't receive any from the baby showers. Another downside is extra laundry. I am going to have to do at LEAST one load of diapers every morning. I just hope that I don't get discouraged.

So, weigh in! Do you think its a good idea or a horrible one? Is it as easy as it sounds or am I crazy for attempting it?

I will be waiting to hear your thoughts!

Less than two months to go!

So now that I have finally figured out how to post from my email, I need to catch you up on quite a lot!

Obviously we are still in the process of getting our computer fixed. We have found someone who will hopefully be able to fix it for around 40 dollars, so I am hoping that it will be done in the next few weeks.
First thing I wanted to share that I haven't since my last post was that we have gotten a new kitten! She is a total cutie pie and I am so glad that she came into our lives! Hubby actually found her outside his job and immediately called me to come get her and take her home. She has filled a big void that was in my heart from losing Indy, and I love her so much already!

Next, I wanted to reflect on Father's Day this year. I actually had an amazing Fathers Day, as I got to spend the Friday before with MY dad, whom I hadn't hung out with or really talked to for many years. He actually came into my job on his birthday to eat, and they randomly got sat in my section. It was a powerful day because it felt like we had never stopped talking at all, and the three of us (me, my dad, and my stepmom) all had a really good time! Lisa even treated me to a manicure which was AWESOME, and they bought Natalie her dresser which was SUPER nice of them! I really hope we keep our relationship alive because I really missed them and love them both very much, and I know that Natalie will too!

I also gave Mike his first (technically) Father's Day gift!

One is baby-related:

And one is hubby-related:

I am so glad that he liked his gifts.

So, moving on to a pregnancy update: we are officially at 31 weeks. I only have 60 days left until my due date and I honestly don't think I'm going to make it that far, which means I now have less than two months to go!! We are so not ready yet at all in terms of having what we need (still need glider, bookshelf, lamp and pretty much everything on our registry BUT we haven't had the baby showers yet)  or doing what we need to do to get the room ready (painting, crafts, replacing the door with a screen for temperature control) but we are planning on getting all that done this month before the showers. Hopefully we will be starting painting next week, and I will start mapping out the size and shape of the lettering for her crib wall which will say "Life is but a dream..."  We actually just switched our whole thinking for the room too! (Thank god Amber hadn't ordered the crib yet!) We were originally planning on dark wood, but after looking at all the dark wood dressers and not being able to match the dark wood tones, we decided to switch to white! Her dresser is SO cute: its white and the drawers are interchangeable colored panels that she can change if she wants to! We have them all set to lavender right now and it looks so cute!!

On the medical side I have good news! The glyburide seems to have started working, even though they maxed it out and if it stops working I am going to have to go on insulin. Let's just hope it doesn't come to that. Her heartbeat is good, and I'm still measuring right on target according to size. We have an ultrasound scheduled for July 13th so we will get to see her again and determine how big she is and that she is developing like she should. Hopefully everything checks out because ultrasounds are not covered under our insurance and I only want to have to pay for one more before she gets here, so cross your fingers for me! I haven't been feeling her moving around a lot this past week, but I think its just because I'm getting used to what it feels like and she is sitting a little lower than she was last week so its harder to feel her kicks. Its more of a cramping than anything, so I'm wondering if maybe its starting to get a little cramped in there and she is just stretching instead of kicking. I'm not really worried about it because when I do my kick counts every evening I still feel the kicks, they're just not as strong as they were.

I also had my first labor dream the other night and let's just say it was pretty knarly. If you've ever watched "I didn't know I was pregnant" there is an episode where this woman just pushes out her baby in a bathroom at a campsite and it happens so fast. That was my dream only I was at work at Outback and I was alone and I caught her with my hands and cut her cord myself! It was scary and further confirms my fear of going into labor at work! Ack!

I also had a dream about seeing her hands and feet make impressions on my belly, and let me tell you I am still jealous of all the skinny little girls who get to watch their babies move in their bellies, because I am still waiting for it to happen. I can feel when she is pushing on me from the outside a little bit, but I still can't see the distortion on my stomach. It makes me a little sad and jealous. I'm just hoping I get to enjoy that part of being pregnant here soon.

Well I think I have written enough for one night. Look for my MHR post on Friday and a post tomorrow updating my 52/52 List and discussing a decision or two that I have made that I would love your input on!

Giving mobile posting a try...

So, my computer is still not fixed and I'm going through some serious blogging withdrawl, so I am giving mobile blogging a try! I tried text messaging it from my phone, but that limits the characters so now I am giving email a try. I know I won't be able to put any pictures in the post, but let's see how it works anyway.

So, here goes nothing. If this posts successfully I will post a catch up post soon afterward!

Wish me luck!!
