Just Call Me....

It's been a long week. Our female beagle, Vala, is in heat. Our male husky, Marty, has been relentlessly trying to impregnate her. Between the whining, the howling, the angry barking from our girl trying to keep Marty away from her, there hasn't been a while lot of sleep in this house. And last night, well...

Last night was the worst of it. Natalie got visibly upset at all the goings on, partly because of the noise and partly because of all the frustration in the house. And at about 2:30 in the morning, I had my proudest parent moment to date...

My baby called for me.

Now, it wasn't like she said "momma" for the first time, nothing like that. But when she woke from her nightmares, she definately made an "m" sound before her wails, and nothing would calm her down except for being in my arms. This was one time that I had NO TROUBLE staying awake for her. My baby loves me and she wanted her momma.

Just call me the boogeyman catcher, my new SuperMomma occupation =)

I'm lovin it.

I'm taking the rest of the weekend off. I'll be back on Monday.

Man Candy Monday #10: Brian Jacob Smith

So, I'm about to round out my trifecta of Stargate boys, and I can't move on without talking about my favorite hunk from Stargate: Universe. Now, the show itself is very gritty and they actors are certainly not clean or polished (because they are stranded on a deserted alien ship with only the clothes on their backs and the few supplies that they were evacuating with) but when they do manage to clean up a bit, this particular guy is a HUNKMEISTER.

I give you Matthew Scott, otherwise known as Brian Jacob Smith.

Natalie's First Day at the Park

So I was going to wait to share some of these photos with you for Natalie's 8 month post, but they're just too good and I am too proud of them to wait any longer!

This past week we took Natalie to the park with her cousin. We had a great time, and she loved it! I mean she's obviously too young to play, but we did take her down the slide and she didn't freak out or cry so I think she liked it!

Ok, enough talk - it's time you show you our mad photog skills!

 CHEEEEEEEEEEEEESE

Look what I can do!

Cousins

Sleepy Face

Ok, so they may not all be professional-grade photos, but for automatic settings and NO WAY to get the right lighting, and just randomly shooting without posing, I think I did a pretty darn good job!

By the way, the close up of Natalie? SUPER PROUD of that picture! I took that! ME!
