Sponsors for May!

Here I am again! I wanted to tell you about all the lovely ladies who help keep my blog going, and ladies who I love to read about and write about!

This month I asked the ladies a VERY serious question. You see, Natalie's birthday is coming up (in TWO MONTHS! EEK!) and I have NO idea what kind of party I want to throw for her! This one is going to be more for us than for her, but I still want her to have a fun themed party, because it's her FIRST ONE and that's a big thing!!

So, first up - Lacey from Little Miss Nerd Girl!

Hello friends of You, Me and Natalie! My name is Lacey and I am the blogger behind Little Miss Nerd Girl. I blog about the everday adventures of being a stay-at-home mom to my three kids: Irelyn (5), Chloe (3½), and Grayson (2½). I also blog about my husband David (we celebrate out ten year anniversary in April!), being a full-time student, things I cook, things I bake, and things I create. I hope you'll hop on over to my blog and share some of my adventures with me!

Lacey? What theme would you pick?

Aaack...that is so hard to answer. If I had thrown parties for my girls I would have done a fairy theme for Irelyn and I would have done a cute bird theme for Chloe. I collect fairies and gave some of that collection to Irelyn when she was born. Chloe reminds me of a little owl with her big eyes, so birds and owls always make me think of her. Not very exciting, I know. We don't have friends or much family out here so we don't throw big parties for our kids. We just decorate the house a little and get together with the one relative we have in the same state, my sister.

I saw a mermaid party somewhere that was pretty cute. I think it was at a blog called Kara's Party Ideas. It might have been more geared towards older kids though, I can't remember.
I love it! I'm going to have a hard time choosing!

Next, Lena from Mom2MemphisandRuby!

Lena is a fashion-loving, photo-taking, thrifty & tattooed mom of 2 who is blogging her way through the ups & downs, adventures & misadventures of life & mommyhood! Please stop by and tell her I said hello!

Lena what is your opinion?

"Little girls turning one are soooooo adorable! When my Ruby turned one, we had a princess themed birthday, but if I had to do it all over again, I might go with "Pink" as in everything pink & frilly or... a mermaid theme!!"

Excellent ideas! And another vote for mermaids!

Next, Miss Tricia from Mama Marchand's Nest, a fellow aqua and red lover!

Hi, I'm Tricia and I blog at Mama Marchand’s Nest I love Jesus, the hubs, my sweet little girl, designing jewelry, tweeting, reading, traveling, yoga, chai, and cupcakes. My bloggy nest is a collection of thoughts about the challenges and blessings of mamahood, marriage, faith, friendship, health, fashion, and everything in between. My Etsy shop, Mama’s Nest Designs features eclectic handcrafted new and upcycled jewelry.

What do you think Tricia?

"For our daughter's first birthday, we made it a dessert themed party and used really bright colors! It was a blast. If I could plan another first birthday party, I'd go with a vintage/shabby chic theme. I think it'd be fun to use mason jars, vintage Pyrex, and lots of other fun vintage elements to make a girly party!"

MMM. Dessert. That's always a good theme for a party!

Next, cutie-patootie newcomer, Sarah @ All Things Blogs!

[Blog]
My name is Sarah, I am 11 years old, I love that I am able to share my crafts and my life!
I have a great life, I love it very much! I am slowly learning to trust and love God.
My room is coming together, I am trying to be creative.
I have a dog named Pepper, a brother, a mom and a dad!
I love being creative, eating chocolate, and especially writing on my blog!
I love my family, they have helped me very much and have encouraged me to keep blogging.
Kate @ A Creative Cookie has helped me VERY much, my blog would still have only one follower and my blog has grown SO much, I love to redo my blog, and to watch it grow, currently I have about 119 followers total, I am getting new followers every week!

So, Sarah what do you think?

"I would choose baby animals!"

Next, I have a sponsor spot winner from a few months ago. Her blog is amazing and you need to check her out!

Hey Y'all. My name is Hope Angeline and I blog over at Hope Angeline Designs. I am a mama to 3 superhero boys and 3 precious Angels, wife to my best friend and lobster, friend, crafter and thrifter. I recently went back to work full time after being a stay at home mom for a year with my kids. It has been a huge adjustment but it is getting easier { I think. I hope }. Hope Angeline Designs is about my life as a mama, crafter and lover of thrift stores. I have 3 Angels in heaven. My daughter Jaslynn who passed away in January 2005 to cancer, and my twins who I lost when I was 14 weeks pregnant. I want for all moms out there that are going through chemo treatments, radiation treatments, or any sort of medical treatments with there children, or mothers who have lost a child for any reason that things will get better and you will smile again. I know that it may be hard, but after the loss of my daughter I thought that I would never smile, laugh, or craft again. But time does heal. I promise.

Hope, what kind of party would you throw?

If I was going to plan a party for a little girls 1st birthday I would have to do a Hello Kitty birthday party. I would make everything for the party myself expect for the cake. The invitations would have a pink background and have 2 of her pictures on it, one of the day when she was born, the second picture would be of her in a Hello Kitty t-shirt and a pink and white tutu with a headband with a red bow. The envelopes would be lined with a pink sparkle paper. I would have a table set up when you walk in, that would have photos of her through out the year. You know like 1 month, 2 month and so on. On the table would also be a guest book for everyone to give her well wishes or just a bit of advice for when she is older. All the tables would have either a pink or white table linens a flower arrangement of pink carnations and in the middle a small arrangement of white carnations but it would make up Hello Kitty's face. For the food, it would be simple, finger foods, like a fruit tray, sandwich tray, cheese tray, chips and dips. For drinks we would have sparkling pink lemonade, sweet tea and juice boxes for the kids. The drinks would be served in mason jars, that would have a ribbon around them and Hello Kitty's face with my daughters name and the number 1. The cake would be a 3D Hello Kitty. I would have a separate small cake for my daughter to get messy with. The piƱata would match the Hello Kitty 3D cake. I would also have Hello Kitty herself make a appearance at the party so all the kids can take a picture with her.

SO ADORABLE!

And last but certainly not least, I have a new swapper joining me, and honestly I don't know why it has taken so long for us to do this! Meet Whitney from Everything Happens For a Reason!

Or follow her on Instagram: whitneyehfar

My name is Whitney, and I am: 26 years old. I blog at "Everything Happens For a Reason," which is my life motto. My blog is basically a virtual journal of my life. I am a southern girl married to a California boy. We are newlyweds, who got married this past June 11, 2011. We also have two dogs; Bentley and Royce. Something that you can always find on my blog: pictures. I'm obsessed. It's the photographer in me. I'm also in the midst of starting up a photography business, which I have kept sort of secret for the past five months. I am obsessed with the color pink. I believe cheese fries (bacon and cheese) can make anything better. I love fashion, and even time-to-time post an outfit on here. I'm obsessed with cardigans and boots, and have them about in every color. I'm a lover of Sephora, makeup, nail polish, hair accessories, and the list goes on and on.

So, Whitney - Natalie's birthday: What should I do?

I would make it a princess themed party!

Well, that's a good idea too!

Of course I also need to mention the wonderful and oh-so-droolworthy Shabby Apple! They have a little bit of everything, and I seriously love and would wear just about EVERYTHING! Click below to shop around!

Now it's your turn! Weigh in:

My Sponsors for March!

Before I start, I just want to give a HUGE thank you to my swapping sponsors! Without the links on your page, I don't think I would be getting the exposure that I wanted. So thank you!

First up is Lacey from Little Miss Nerd Girl!

A new month, new questions! Here are Lacey's answers:

1. What's your favorite food? I'd have to say tofu and peppers over rice. A lot of people don't like tofu (like my husband - he doesn't like the texture) but if you know how to cook it, its delicious!

2. What's your favorite band? This is like asking me to pick my favorite kid. I just can't do it. I love Depeche Mode, She Wants Revenge, All American Rejects, Chris Isaak, Harry Connick Jr., Garbage, No Doubt and Neil Diamond. I basically like it all.

3. What's your favorite school subject? English!

4. What's your favorite board game? We're board game nerds! When we lived in California we had game nights with our friends all the time. I've always like Pictionary and Balderdash. I like Trivial Pursuit too but I get competitive with my husband when we play, and he almost always wins, so then I get mad. Haha.

5. What's your favorite color? Green. And purple. It's a tie!

Next up is Ida from the blog Eternity Kind of Love, who is my newest sponsor swapper!

Well, hello there! I’m so happy to be appearing here today.

My name is Ida and I’m a 20 something wife, realtor, dancer, choreographer, bartender, and crafter who enjoys reading, writing, spending time with family and friends, exercising, and occasionally (very occasionally) cooking. And, this is what my blog, Eternity Kind of Love, is all about..Me, My Firefighter, and My Pup.

Some of the posts I partake in weekly include Rant and Rave Mondays, Waist Watcher Wednesdays, Pic of the Week (Friday), and newly added Significant Other Saturdays; in between all that I blog on a multitude of subjects.

I currently have 19 Followers and am working to expand. If you like what you read, please follow and I’ll be sure to follow back.

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!!

Ok Ida, same questions:

1. What's your favorite food? Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, and Noodles. {that’s my favorite meal anyway}

2. What's your favorite band? Well not really a “band”,but my favorite artists are The Black Eyed Peas. {They were great in concert with LMFAO and Ludacris, when we went back in March 2010}

3. What's your favorite school subject? Math. {I love numbers.}

4. What's your favorite board game? Pay Day.

5. What's your favorite color? I still have a hard time with this..it really depends on my mood, but I’ll always love pink and green. {which you can see in my blog colors}

Next, Miss Tricia from Mama Marchand's Nest, a fellow aqua and red lover!

Hi, I’m Tricia and I blog at Mama Marchand’s Nest! Mama to my sweet & sassy daughter, N, and witty wife to the hubs, I write, honestly, about the challenges and blessings of mamahood, marriage, faith, friendship, health, fashion, and everything in between! I’m a woman with many passions including loving deeply, writing thoughtfully, baking incessantly, and creating with love. My Etsy shop, Mama’s Nest Designs, features eclectic handcrafted new and upcycled jewelry.

Take it away Tricia!

1. What's your favorite food? Vanilla Meringue Cookies from Trader Joe’s – I’m addicted.

2. What's your favorite band? I love Owl City.

3. What's your favorite school subject? Art.

4. What's your favorite board game? Scrabble

5. What's your favorite color? Purple

Next up, is Katie from Party of Four.

Hiya! I'm Katie, and I blog over at Party of Four. That's the place where I share my love for family, crafts, cooking, makeup and all the crazy things that life here in Florida throws at me. I also have a little shop where I sell pretty little things that I make while at home with my boys. I hope you get a chance to stop by and say hello some time. I love meeting new friends!

Katie didn't have a chance to fill out the survey, but I'm sure her answers would've been fantastic - just like her!

And last but certainly NOT least, Lena from Mom2MemphisandRuby!

Meet Lena: She is a fashion-loving, photo-taking, thrifty & tattooed mom of 2 who is blogging her way through the ups & downs, adventures & misadventures of life & mommyhood! Please stop by and tell her I said hello!

1. What's your favorite food? Popcorn

3. What's your favorite school subject? I loved English

4. What's your favorite board game? Scrabble!

5. What's your favorite color? Orange

Thanks ladies! I hope you enjoyed the questions this month as much as I did reading your answers! I have some new things to try and some new bands to listen to!

And as always I have to answer these questions myself so here we go!

1. What's your favorite food? Chocolate chip cookie dough - raw or cookie or ice cream form! Preferrably all three =)

2. What's you favorite band? I'll have to name my top five because I can't choose: 1. Hanson 2. Paramore 3. Breaking Benjamin 4. Avenged Sevenfold 5. KISS

3. What's your favorite school subject? English, and ironically French class. I also LOVED Band.

4. What's your favorite board game? Oh this is an easy one! Parcheesi!! I love it, and it brings back a ton of great memories for me.

5. What's your favorite color? I would say my favorite color to wear is blue/teal/aqua, but I love all the colors equally! I guess that's why my Girl Scout Camp Name was Rainbow...(I can't believe I just admitted that to the interwebs! lol)

Please give all these wonderful ladies a look-see and tell them that I said hi, ok?!

Meet my Sponsors for February!

Before I start, I just want to give a HUGE thank you to my swapping sponsors! Without the links on your page, I don't think I would be getting the exposure that I wanted. So thank you!

This month I thought it would be fun to ask five "This or That" questions. Just so that you can get to know them a little better!

**********************************************************************

First up is Lacey from Little Miss Nerd Girl.

Ok Lacey here are your questions!

Me: Vanilla or Chocolate?

Lacey: Vanilla. I am not that big a fan of chocolate. I feel like a disgrace to womankind everywhere

Me: Massage or Manicure?

Lacey: Massage. I've never actually had a professional massage, but I am sure it would work wonders for my "mommy back."

Me: Shoes or Purses?

Lacey: I  only recently became interested in both. I was never much of a girly girl so these things never interested me. But now, oh my goodness, I can't pick which I like more.

Me: Cake or Cookies?

Lacey: I love baking! This is like asking me which of my kids is my favorite. But I really, really like decorating cakes, so I will go with cakes.

Me: Black or Brown?

Lacey: Brown suits me better but I probably own more black.

**********************************************************************

Next up, is Katie from Party of Four.

Hiya! I'm Katie, and I blog over at Party of Four. That's the place where I share my love for family, crafts, cooking, makeup and all the crazy things that life here in Florida throws at me. I also have a little shop where I sell pretty little things that I make while at home with my boys. I hope you get a chance to stop by and say hello some time. I love meeting new friends!

Ok Katie same questions!

Me: Vanilla or Chocolate?

Katie: Could a girl really pick one?! I love vanilla ice cream and creamer in my coffee and chocolate cake and bars.

Me: Massage or Manicure?

Katie: If I could afford a massage I would probably love that and since I bite my nails {eww I know} I would rather have a pedicure.

Me: Shoes or Purses?

Katie: I will not wear heels but love to have a few pairs of flip flops. But I would rather have purses.... but nothing expensive. Under 50$ makes me happy when it comes to a purse.

Me: Cake or Cookies?

Katie: cookies for sure! I love making them with my 7 year old son. He's my little baker.

Me: Black or Brown?

Katie: I would rather wear brown. I'm in Florida and its to hot for black.
**********************************************************************

And last but not least, I wanted to mention Shabby Apple. They released their Spring Clothing line back on February 1st, and they have some AWESOME new stuff! Click on the link below and check it out!

Shabby Apple

And of course, I can't leave without answering the questions myself!!

1. Vanilla or Chocolate? CHOCOLATE. Hands down, forever!

2. Massage or Manicure? I would love to have a massage where your back doesn't burn for two days afterward (I've only had one, and no one told me that you need to tell them no deep tissue, and to take it easy....OWWW) so I will say massage. But I love manicures, even though I am perfectly ok with doing my nails on my own.

3. Shoes or Purses? Definately purses. But shoes, oh the shoes! I love heels, but don't feel confident wearing them. Plus I'm a Momma now and babies are heavy and bad for wobbly ankles!

4. Cakes or Cookies? I think if given a cake and a cookie in front of me, I'd go for the cake first.

5. Black or Brown? Definately brown. Black is just so harsh, and I love the look of browns and tans used for neutrals!

That's it! Please, if you have a moment, stop by and say hello! Be sure to tell them that I sent you! =)
