The Nail Files: Part III and a Linky Party

The Nail Files

Last Sunday when I showed you my collection/obsession, I mentioned two blue colors. I thought to myself, "This would be the perfect winter color!" So, that's what I'm using today:

And, as a bonus I'm going to walk you through my method of painting my nails that gives me perfectly dry nails in a fraction of the time it normally takes! Ready? Here we go!!

First I painted two thin coats of the base color. The first coat should be very thin and sparce, just enough to get the color started.

Then go back over and fill in the color. And then, here is my secret:

Run your nails under cold water for 20 seconds for each nail! Really, trust me just do it! Your nails should have had enough time to set from going back and forth from one hand to the next, but start with the hand you painted first - just in case.

Next, I applied one coat of the glitter, and let it set for two minutes before running it under the water - again for 20 seconds each nail.

And just for fun, I added a snowflake on each of my ring fingers, let it set and ran it under one more time.

There you have it! My big secret, cold water! Your nails should be able to be touched by the time your done, as long as you only put two coats of color and one of glitter!

Good luck!! Let me know how it turns out for you =)

Love the trick.... Mine is sharpie markers to decorate with nail art. Then seal with top coat or leave it and after a shower you can doodle again. Easy to wipe off if a mistake is made, no need to repaint nails. Thanks for being a follower.
