Waist Watcher Wednesday: Week 3!

WHERE ARE MY WAIST WATCHER GIRLS AT??

This is a weekly link party for everyone wanting to get back in shape, where we can post/comment our stats and offer each other helpful advice, workout ideas, what works for you, what doesn't and just generally support each other so that when we think about giving up we will have bloggy friends to lift us up again!

So, I will post one inspirational thing, a workout that I want to try, or something workout related every week, and I encourage you to do the same! Let's inspire each other into getting healthy this year and making our waists disappear!

**************************************************************************

I have been inspired and I think I've had enough time to feel ready to do this, so I am now going to share with you my pre-weight loss body photo:

Ugh. Eew. Blech. This picture is horrible. I have this wierd perception where I don't feel big, and when I look in the mirror I don't feel like I LOOK big, but in pictures (especially full body ones) I am HUGE!

I'm going to change that! Who's with me!?

**************************************************************************

How did you do this past week?

Me? I got out there and ran! And that is a big accomplishment for me, because of it being cold and having Natalie be so young. I can't just pop her down for a nap and know she will be ok for 30 minutes while I go run. I can't just leave her alone in the house. I don't have a treadmill. But it is too cold to take her with me. And I don't have a gym membership (although I'm looking into one) so I can't just pack her up and take her somewhere to exercise. So, I passed her off to Daddy and had a little "me time." I thoroughly enjoyed it. I miss running, it's so...calming to me. And man this indoor workout, it's kicking my butt! I feel stupid doing it in front of the Hubby though, so I went to another room to workout the other night. I mean jumping jacks? I look rediculous. HA.

Weight: 203.0
Previous: 203.0

TIPS: Weight yourself at the same time every time (morning is best) in the same type of clothing (or nude) on the same scale to get the best results.

REACTION: I am not happy with this. I feel like I should've lost SOMETHING.

BMI: 33.8
Previous: 33.8

TIPS: Use this website to compute your BMI

REACTION: None.

Measurements:

Bust: 46

Chest: 40
Waist: 44
Hips:47
Thighs:27
Calves:16
Upper arm: 14
Forearm:10

TIPS: How to measure.

  • Bust: Measure around the chest right at the nipple line, but don't pull the tape too tight.
  • Chest: Measure just under your bust
  • Waist: Measure a half-inch above your belly button or at the smallest part of your waist
  • Hips: Place tape measure around the biggest part of your hips
  • Thighs: Measure around the biggest part of each thigh
  • Calves: Measure around the largest part of each calf
  • Upper arm: Measure around the largest part of each [arm above the elbow
  • Forearm: Measure around the largest part of the arm below the elbow.

  • REACTION: I am down 2 inches in the bust area, but I can't remember if I measured with a bra on last time or not, so I don't think this is accurate.

WHAT TO WORK ON:  I only ate breakfast a few days this week, so I am going to try and do better to do that. I found a great Oatmeal Banana Muffin recipe that I am going to try. And I'm really going to try to cook at home this week, but I don't know if it will happen. I also only got two indoor workouts and two days of the C25K in, but this week I will get three, so hopefully that will help some.

GOAL FOR NEXT WEEK: 1-2 lbs

Rachael, I can't link your blog with mine. When I click on here, it just takes me to a inlinkz.com web page.

Link to my page please. Then see get the InLinz code by clicking it. That's what I should see and I don't. :(

OK seriously this is perfect timing. I started counting calories a week ago and weighed myself today...NO change. I got so discouraged that I ate whatever I wanted for dinner :( Now I feel bad. I need to work out also and maybe that would help.

Glad I'm not dealing with these frustrations on my own. Good luck to you :)
